My problem started right from the start at the reception desk. I tried calling the spa to book an appointment however I kept getting their recorder so I decided to walk down to the spa and check it out. The Salon and Spa are adjacent to each other, there are two reception desk areas however only one person is working the desk. I walked into the salon wanting to book a manicure and pedicure appointment and was told by their receptionist that she only had time to do one of the services. I decided to do my nails and schedule my pedicure for another time. I was asked to come back 45 minutes later as the nail tech was with another client at the moment. Upon my return for my appointment, I was then told by their receptionist Amy that the nail tech was running behind and asked if I could come back again in a half hour. I found it to be unprofessional as she could have called me sooner to notify me of the situation, but instead she waited until I returned to tell me. Cancelled my appointment and left feeling more frustrated then what was suppose to be a relaxing service. Don't waste your time and energy! Unorganized & Unprofessional!!!
I love to spend the day at the Marriott on Kauai and visit the Alexander Day Spa for an escape! Though I live on Kauai, this special location and the spa let me float back in time to vacationing on Kauai... Spend the morning getting a manicure and pedicure, lunch at Duke's by the sea and then head back for a facial and a massage! PERFECT way to spend the day on Kauai!

The masseuses were good. Waxing service terrible. They would not fix there poor service and demanded to rebill full amount to get service fixed. The owner refuses to speak with you if you aren't satisfied. Don't go here unless you are getting a basic massage and expect to be over charged.

Her Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and shiatsu style brought back feeling into my right and left arms where I had none at all up until she gave me the best massage I ever had in my entire life. as far as me and my wife are concerned ALEXANDER DAY SPA is one of the best massage spa's in Hawaii and Ximena is a spectacular therapist.
