Nice selection of food. the prices are very good the produce is very fresh, they have a great selection of sushi, hot food, and baked Goods.
This is a beautiful and clean safeway. We stopped here for snacks and lunch. The fresh sushi selection was very impressive and quite affordable. We also got a lot of fun local snacks that we enjoyed throughout the week. This safeway also sells liquor which was nice.
A new Safeway. Spacious isles with readable signage covering a large selection of items for your shopping needs. Starbucks located inside. Super clean store with a nice relaxing lounge to sit and enjoy your purchases. Not many cashiers are on duty so check out can be lengthy. Parking is minimalist for the whole shopping strip.
On our most recent visit to Kauai they had just completed the new Safeway store in Lihue. It is huge and has a vast array of items that make you feel this is a complete store and truly a one stop shopping event. All kinds of prepared foods and plenty of staff to promptly serve you. Take it home, on a picnic, or eat it here while surfing the net on free wi-Fi. The fresh meat counter has humans to assist and cut your meat your way. They also prepare fresh POKE daily! Fruits and veggies; have it your way, regular or Organic. Shelves of great wines. But don’t whine if you can’t find something; just ask, you probably overlooked it. You can even do some Banking while your here. But this impressive store got my five star rating because they had the wisdom to place a Starbucks inside amongst all the rest. Starbucks can’t help but put some joy into your grocery shopping! You don’t have to be in a rush. Pick up your Starbucks coffee and maybe a tasty morsel to go with it, have a seat, relax, have an Aloha moment with a companion or put your shopping list together, it’s all good at Safeway. Especially with the coffee!
Very expensive and lines are long. Watch out some items are way more expensive than Amazon or Wal-Mart. It sucks to get gouged. Service is getting awful.
the store's very clean and well laid out the staff was very friendly. They do have a deli, bakery, and a Starbucks inside.
Like everything in Hawaii the prices are pretty high you do have to be a member of the club to receive a discount. I can't believe how much the bread and the milk.
