SO GOOD. Spicy Ahi Poke bowl was to die for
WOW. Everything we ordered was freaking delicious. Spicy ahi poke was one of the best I've had. The slightly sweeter one (with onions, forgot the name) was also fantastic. Sushi rice was made perfectly with a slight acidity and sweetness. The kalua pork is tender, juicy, and has a subtle smokiness that's perfect. The lomi lomi salmon is refreshing, acidic, and fresh. The macaroni salad is creamy and rich. Wow, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's a humble family owned place. I can't wait to come back to try their laulau and ginger chicken.
Their chicken is so good that some of the wild chickens walking nearby couldn't resist themselves and endes up stealing some of ours. Its a little messed up for sure, but a testament to how good it was!
The rice was hard, the fish was half edable with the skin still on it full of tough silver strand and blood meat. Also expensive and small. Aras fish market will be dearly missed. So long are the days of careful preparation and a focus on overall quality control. Sad
