Wonderful park for taking a stroll, cleaning off after a muddy hike, and safe swimming. My husband and I have been here several times since arriving in the area for our honeymoon. The trail going south will loop around and come back making for a pretty 30 minute walk. There are a couple of restrooms conveniently located throughout the park. Swimming area is protected by a ring of large rocks which breaks the waves and makes this a carefree place to swim. There are outdoor showers for your body and feet that come in handy after walking through the sand or taking a muddy hike. Hasn't been super busy when we've gone either. There is a lifeguard too. Great park!
The beach was nice and parking was no problem. Highly recommend it.
This is a gorgeous place esp if you have little kids. There are two shallow pools and they get water from the big waves crashing on the rocks. There are some nice colorful fishes and kids can snorkel here. Outside that the waves were too strong and only experienced swimmers can swim atleast the time we visited in December. The park also have a nice bike path and a running trail. Parking is ample and there is a restroom , wash station and covered as well as open picnic tables.
Nice park with clean facilities (including showers). This should be every beginner snorkeller's first stop. The "ponds" are full of fish and have a sandy bottom... Really easy and well protected. Ideal for small kids too.
Hands down the best place to learn snorkeling, and there are SO many fish! It has two pools closed in by boulders, and its quite shallow, you can stand up in most of it. Has a lifeguard watching. We came here several times because it was so nice. There's a playground for kids, big park, covered area, picnic tables, restrooms, showers...has it all!
Lovely place for family outing. Great for beginners because there's a stone wall protecting you from the ocean waves. You can see groups of different types of fish - actually more than what I saw in Poipu beach park. It was lovely to spend for a few hours there in the water or under the sun.
