Many Realtors downplay this, however these properties can come with many strings attached. For example, your neighbor/partner usually has to sign off on any changes you might want to make to your house! I've met several people that are in nightmare "CPR" scenarios, purchased from slick agents that just wanted to push the sale through. So it's especially important to find a good, honest agent when starting your property search on Kauai.
