I have been shopping at Robert's for the last 16 years. It is a must stop every time I visit Kauai. I am always treated with the utmost courtesy and have consistently received high quality at very fair prices. They also fixed a Hawaiian watch I managed to bend on a shopping cart. Now it's like new. I visit both locations, Lihue with a stop at Hamura's and Hanapepe as well. It has the local feel and is full of aloha! Beverly Hills it's not! Local is why we love it.

In September this year, my wife and I returned to Kauai to celebrate our 40th anniversary. She had decided to replace my very worn and now too tight wedding ring after all these years. We stopped by Robert's in Lihue to browse, and ended up purchasing a Hawaiian Heirloom man's wedding ring. They patiently showed and explained the many styles, designs, widths, and thicknesses of these beautifully carved rings. I soon realized the value of their customer service as well as the value of the ring. They answered ALL my questions; and priced it very fairly. It was a special order and took six weeks to be produced and delivered; but the uniqueness of it's design is just as unique as my bride and I'm proud to display both.....one on my finger and the other on my arm.
The store is unkept, hot and humid, cluttered, and has limited selections. It looked like an old second-hand store. While we were there the owner was buying old gold and silver from people. The sellers and owner sat at and covered up two display cases with old gold and silver. We felt like we were in a pawn shop. This should've tipped us off but.....We ordered some Hawaiian Heritage jewelry. We were told the order should reach us in about six weeks. After eight weeks I called the store several times, was always told that the owner would look into the delay and call me, but it took him weeks - very unprofessional. I finally received the order after another month. I will never shop at this store again and will never refer it to anyone.
