Great fun in these clean mountain irrigation tunnels. Best to wear long sleeves if you tend to get cold. You are always floating on the top of the water, so not bad. Lots of fun. Its like bumper cars in the water, in the dark with lights on your heads! The guides took care of us. Be sure to wear some sort of water shoes. The water is only 3 ft. deep.
Water tubing adventure, great trip! I went with my parents and we enjoyed this quite a bit. You spin around a bit so not for the nauseous but it's beautiful amidst the greenery and the glowing lichen in the tunnels is spectacular. Really liked the guides and their sense of humor as well, a fun team. Over all a great adventure and a great way to see another part of the island and it's history.
We did the water tubing tour and it was a well organized and fun tour with great guides. The canals are pretty neat and during the venture out to the canals our guide gave us a history lesson on the history of the land which I loved. You hit some great views float around in a giant tube, hit some little falls and float through dark and beautiful canals. It was a great experience, would recommend for kids.
We did the $100 pp Plantation Tuning trip. Highly recommended. Our guides, Joel and Abe, were awesome. They made the trip fun and educational. The tubing trip takes you down the mountain through 160 year old sugarcane irrigation system including several hand-cutout caves through the mountain. Lunch was included and was very good- make your own sandwich buffet, chips, cookies. The entire trip took about 3 hours including a beautiful drive up the mountain with a couple stops at gorgeous nature vistas
What a great day we had with Kai and Kip yesterday. These guys made this a fun and safe time. Very personable. They were great with the kids on the float. Tubing and cave exploration rolled into one. We saw parts of the island that you can't get to on your own. It was amazing to see these tunnels that were built by hand over 100 years ago. We would do this again in a heartbeat
