The actual luau was definitely a winner here!!Amazing luau performance. They care about the story they are telling and you can feel that in the air. The buffet was great, nice spread with many options. The art market before was fun to walk through and had some great things to check out. Open Bar was great and line moved fast. My kids loved playing games with the staff beforehand and seeing the pig come from the ground. Definitely do the train ride combo beforehand!! Arrive a few minutes early to be sure and have time to grab a drink to take on the train as well. The only negative I guess: it was us and 300 (?) of our closest friends, and we didn't know there would be that many people!
Main advice: do the basic luau, but don’t waste your money on the extras, such as shuttle, train & premium upgrade! The shuttle was 30 mins late so we were rushed onto the train before drinks or anything. By the time we got to our table, people had already started eating & drinking! The train ride was cool, but we missed wandering around the crafts, souvenir shopping & free rum sampling! The show was good & unique ...more theatrical than other luaus I’ve been to, but sometimes hard to understand due to the sound system. Food & drinks weren't bad. But we paid $20 extra each to sit in the front tables, and then all the folks at the back got taken to the food line ahead of us! NOT cool!! My advice next time... only pay for the basics ($100 each.) Then take Uber for $10 instead of the more expensive shuttle. Do the train another time, and forget the premium upgrade. The additional $120 the two of us paid for those extras were just not worth it!!
I was surprised when my three teens said they wanted to go to a luau because it wasn't anything I had thought I would like.
The show was pretty good. But the food was good at all. Well that’s my opinion. I was hoping the food was better. Beside that everything else was pretty much okay
So overpriced it's not even funny, worst food I've eaten in a long time and by far the most I payed. The fire dancers we're good but I've seen better at a free show at a hotel... Do not waste your money here, go to a free luau and get yourself a meal at a 5 star restaurant for the same money.
While I was surprised how large it was when we got there, it was a wonderful time.
There were 11 of us, ranging from three small boys (2,4,6), three teenagers and five adults including it parents in their late 70's. Everyone was totally mesmerized by the performance. A great evening.
