We are very picky and we do lots of research! We picked Wedding In Paradise because of a recommendation from the travel agency. We flew to Kauai in September 2009 and got married on 09/09/09 at 9:00 am. Jill Kosen was the PERFECT wedding planner! She helped us in so many ways! She was always eager to help, and took the pain out of the planning for sure. There was never a silly question with Jill...she was always so reassuring. She picked the perfect pastor and helped us pick the perfect beach location! The ceremony was absolutely FLAWLESS!! The photography and video was AMAZING! Every time I watch the video, I cry tears of joy. It was produced with the PERFECT songs, some of which we had never even heard until watching it. We trusted her COMPLETELY with the most important day of our lives, and she TRULY delivered the PERFECT fairytale wedding!! Very reasonable charges for such wonderful work. Thank you Jill for giving us the wedding that most can only dream about!
One week prior to the wedding, my husbands father passed away unexpectedly. I reached out to Jill and let her know the situation and that we would like to do something special to remember him. On the day of our wedding, Jill came with a beautiful memorial lei for his father and added a small memorial ceremony into the plans. She did this all complimentary and without a single added fee, we were shocked to discover that and will be forever grateful to her. I would recommend Jill Kosen and Wedding in Paradise to anyone that told me that they are getting married on the island of Kauai, she made our dream a reality and she is the BEST at what she does

The ceremony was absolutely phenomenal and exactly what we always dreamed of. Jill is amazing at what she does, she made the entire experience special and stress free and all about my husband and I. The value of her service does not even come close to covering the type of first class service and planning that she provides. We were on a tight budget and never once did she make me feel like we were any less important. There was no funny business or attempts at upselling us, she only made adjustments when requested by us. We planned the entire thing via email and phone calls from the Bay Area and after the experience I felt like I knew her and she was a friend.
My husband and I were married on the island of Kauai on September 8, 2013. We both come from rather large families and had gone back and forth for over a year trying to plan something that would appease everyone. After a lot of stress and frustration we decided that Kauai was our dream location and we decided that we wanted just 20 of our closest friends and family present for our big day.

Some general advice: One thing we learned through our experience of planning the wedding, and some advice to pass on to other “mainlanders” planning a wedding on Kauai, is that the way of life is VERY laid back on the island. We didn’t fully understand this until we go to Kauai and embraced the island mentality ourselves. You may feel anxious about arranging details of the wedding (after all, this is your one and only big day!), but don’t expect everyone you work with to have that same hurried mentality.

Because of Jill, we had the most beautiful wedding and now memories for our life time. If I had months to plan our wedding it would not have been as awsome!! We went to her on Tuesday at noon and she made our wedding happen by Wednesday at 10 am. Her suggestions were perfect and everything I thought of last minute she made sure happened. The minister she picked was even more than our expectations, he was so wonderful. We also needed our rings and she recommended a jeweler that was as gracious, caring and helpful as herself. It was really convenient that Jill was able to sign off on our marriage license rather than having to go to a government office. As our wedding day unfolded, there were so many things that Jill did in the background without our knowledge to keep everything smooth and carefree for us. While we couldn’t have done it without the planning in the months prior to the wedding, I felt that the biggest asset of all was having Jill supporting us on our wedding day.
