Don't expect fancy; expect delicious.
Great food. Large portions. We ordered the fried noodles and the special, both recommended by the family that was leaving when we arrived. We left full and happy.
Good, quick service. Had the special extra large. The broth was very salty, the veggies we're bitter, 3 slices of meat. Must be a local thing, definitely not the style of ramen I'm used to. Maybe I'll try the other menu items in the future. Popular spot for the locals.
Great portion for the price. Looks like visitors are mostly local people. I think the dishes are more like common homemade style, so it feels nice and comfortable. It's not fancy. We went around 2pm and it was full, but we we're lucky to sit down right away. It looks like this place is always busy. The most popular dish is the special saimin.
Saimin is super flavorful and cheap. When you see an open seat, just go for it. The Won Ton Min was delicious and I would definitely get it again. Also Lilikoi Chiffon Pie is always a good life choice.
Best saimin I've ever had. Family (including 7 and 9 year olds) all loved it too. Large portions, reasonably priced. Can get crowded, but it's well worth the wait. Don't be put off by lines, free-for-all trying to find open seats, or by the counter seating. Staff is friendly, food is amazing, and seats turn over relatively quickly. I wouldn't come to Kauai without visiting this place (My wife's been coming here for 25+ years).
