The breakfast buffet was awesome. The selection was wide spread and quality was exceptional. Best part was the staff. They are super friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about island attractions for must see/do ideas.
Food was high quality and tasty. Service was excellent. Restaurant is beautiful.
Wonderful food and ambiance BUT they can't figure out how to make a reservation for outside dining which is the point in Hawaii. We had a reservation for dinner and requested outside but they said that was first come first served. When we arrived, they sat us in a stuffy spot next to a closed window and had people outside having drinks and pupu in the best seating. They said the wait for an outdoor table was 20 minutes. Within 10 minutes one opened up and we moved. But what a hassle! It was like being in a crowded singles bar in NYC and having to jump at the first open table. Aloha not.
Food was good but the service was poor. Most of the tables were empty, but everything took forever. The bus boy did more for us than the waitress.
I do not recommend the seafood buffet at all. For the price and quality of the resort I was expecting decent service and decent food but what we got was not impressive. I asked for medium on the prime rib but basically the two guys in front on me and I all got meat that was completely raw in the middle. It also didn’t have much flavour (of the non raw pieces I was able to eat) The seafood was nothing impressive. Crab was decent but the rest was pretty ordinary. My wife gave me her sushi because it looked like it had meat in it (she’s vegetarian) but I didn’t attempt it, looked too dry. The waitress arrived after we had started our meals to take a drinks order. I said I’d like a glass of white wine expecting to be asked for the type of wine but she ran off and came back with some pretty nasty white wine (guess i got what I asked for). I also had to go hunt down a server to get some utensils to eat the crab with. Anyhow the resort is beautiful I guess I was expecting the restaurant to match the quality of the resort but i was wrong.
