This place has great service and a view that is literally second to none. The owner is usually right in the middle of the action and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy. Life harp player that is incredibly talented. Don't come to Hawaii for Italian food but nice change of pace
Truly competitive for the worst meal I've ever had. Started off with sauteed mushrooms in white wine sauce, which I love, that come covered in cheese in a lake of liquid. At least they were edible. Rest of the table has 2 good Caesar salads and a mediocre crab bisque. Then the entrees arrive. A cold, undercooked shrimp scampi, inedible, and I love shrimp. My seafood Diablo, mediocre, until I bit into a chunk of fish skin, ruining the whole meal, the taste was so repulsive. A passable lasagna, if I had made it out of a box, and a mediocre, tasteless Ono. The whole time the wait staff is running around crazed, very poor service. Insanely overpriced for the quality, don't go here, just get some coconut shrimp or appetizers at a nearby bar, far better taste, less than half the price.
Only giving 2 stars so this review isn't dismissed as an over exaggeration-- this restaurant is NOT worth going to; even for convenience sake. There are several other options nearby. Take them! The catch of the day was bland (none of their other menu item fish were even available) and came out after some of the other meals had already been cooked because the filets hadn't been prepped yet (waiter told us this). Shortly before that, one of our orders had to be changed because the kitchen said they ran out of lasagna; the changed order came out once the rest of us had finished our meals. This meal was not comped.
The service was fantastic. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the service. Had a great waiter named Ben. The food was another story. The Caesar salad was yummy, but the actual pasta dish was inedible. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce tasted rotten. When we sent it back the owner came and berated us and told us the clams were amazing. He was rude and inconsiderate. Not worth the price or time.....unfortunate experience.
Understaffed to start so took much longer then it should for drinks and bread to be brought or ordered. Caesar salad was very lacking, lettuce was old and dressing was “house made” so very thin almost like a vinaigrette. Pasta was way over cooked with no flavor along with the chicken.
