One of my happy places. The proximity to the beach and excellent restaurants is hard to beat. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer excellent views! We love the staff and the atmosphere. Some upgrades on the grounds would be nice.
We just spent a week at this fabulous resort. This place is perfect in winter with calmer water and sunnier skies than the North Shore. The pool is set up perfectly with more than ample lounge chairs and even more available across the sidewalk onto the grass and shoreline. You can watch surfers, cruise ships and feel the ocean breeze with drink service! The rooms are modern with great beds, fridges and microwaves. The view from our room was spectacular and quiet--i never heard a single noise through the walls like I do in most hotels. I would recommend this place to anyone. There were several dining options and a fun barefoot bar--Duke's. Great kiddie pool as well!
Incredible resort!!! If you want a gorgeous resort right on a sandy beach with a huge pool, (and another kid pool with small water slide as well), 5 hot tubs, koi fish with garden, with so many amenities and activities, then this is the resort for you! It's centrally located on the island and just a few minutes from the airport as well. Every time we leave our room we're just blown away by the beauty on the resort. Then you hit the island and there are so many things to do! Snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, relaxing, just to make a few. Our room is a studio with a mini kitchen which is great to have. Our complaint would be that the walls are too thin, and our bed is too firm. But overall, an incredible experience here in Kauai!
Perfect location. Nice rooms. Right on the beach. Great pool. Restaurants, shops, and bars in walking distance. Easy access to the airport but you wouldn't even realize it because you can't hear the planes. Random fact: it has the only escalator on the island.
Very nice property with all the amenities. Rooms are typical higher end Marriott. And incidentals are expensive but convenient considerably more expensive then surrounding offerings. The beach and pool area are very nice. Food is very good and Duke’s is also owned by the property. Duke’s has very good food.
