Seeing places where films like Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones were shot was a blast, and even got to swing on one of the Indiana Jones ropes. Very fun experience, and a truly beautiful place.
You would be crazy to be on Kauai and not visit Kipu Ranch. Amazing trails full of history and cows! We got caught in a torrential downpour and it was still a great time. The tour guides truly enjoy their jobs and ensure a positive, informative, safe and fun tour.
Highly recommended. I don't duplicate excursions when I return to a place but I will absolutely do this again when I return.
The guides were knowledgeable and funny. They taught us how to properly go down the hills without flipping and made the overall trip more confident and enjoyable.
This was a great time. The instructions were clear but not constricting. The ATVs could easily hit 50 mph but we hung out around 20-30mph. Saw different film sites across the island as well as a nice dip in the a local river. (tip: hold onto rings, I lost my wedding ring in there!).
The Kipu Ranch tour was incredible! We had three guides for our group. Kyle, Ryan, and one nicknamed Giggles. All three were fantastic, with a great sense of humor but still serious about safety, and shared a lot of knowledge about Kauai and Hawaii in general.
So much fun! I've never driven an ATV before so I was a bit worried that my skills wouldn't be up to par. However they start you off with a lesson on the controls and ease you into the terrain so you can get the feel of the vehicles. The sites are amazing! I STRONGLY recommend that you bring bug spray. They sell it there at a HUGE markup (I want to say 10$ for a tiny vial) but you will sorely regret not having it when you stop at the river. We were miserable while waiting for everyone to take turns on the rope swing while the mosquitoes took turns on us. Lesson learned!
My wife and i decided to try this tour this year and we were not disappointed. The views are amazing, driving us fun and our tour guides were top notch. Ryan and Marley were fantastic tour guides. Both very well spoken and engaged with all of us tourists very well. A total blast to swing on the rope where an Indiana Jones scene was filmed as part of the three hour tour! They also do a great job at taking pictures of you and whoever your with at very scenic areas. Totally worth doing.
