Had a really great time, amazing views, pilot was great. Just one huge miss, there was some unexplained issue with the video on both our group as well as the other group that went up in the other helicopter. This video was something my wife and I were looking forward to purchasing and something they advertised would be available before we went on the flight. A one time glitch would be understandable but then I started reading reviews of people having the same issue as long as 6 months ago. They also mentioned that they had been having issues the last couple days with the videos. I personally consider it quite ignorant to have not given us a warning or have resolved this issue given they were aware of it prior to our flight, especially with the price you pay! Had I known I would have taken way more videos and photos during the flight, but I figured all good I will just buy video which was a mistake. Other than this it was totally worth it! Breathtaking views, the pilot was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot. No better way to see the island, just be sure to take good photos and videos for yourself and don't rely on buying the video they tell you about.
I would recommend to take the helicopter tour, but definitely not with Sunshine Helicopters Kauai.
Absolutely fantastic. Words cannot describe how good this experience was and our pilot Steve made us feel like family. So comical and knowledgeable, and absolutely made us feel safe and at home. Only way to see the whole island!!!!
We had such an AMAZING time using Sunshine Helicopters to see the island. We were SO CLOSE to not doing a helicopter tour and decided on our final day to do it. Sunshine Helicopters set us up with the perfect pilot (a former Black Hawk/military pilot) who kept us smiling and taught us so much about Kauai. We feel very lucky to have been with him and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sunshine.
Great staff - Capt. Steve was excellent! Informative and educational 50 min. tour of the island. We paid a little more and sat up front - so worth it!
I have mainly took this tour to see the Na Pali coast which is not visible from land. Well - we didn't get there for whatever reason.
